Alisson Vera

Alisson Vera is a fierce environmentalist who believes the best way to curb climate change is through public awareness and engagement. From writing traditional articles to social justice blog posts as an intern for the World-CWS, Alisson has developed an array of writing styles. Being able to communicate with a diverse audience is something she learned to do early on thanks in part to being born in Ecuador and moving to the United States at a young age. While exploring careers in environmentalism, Alisson traveled to South Dakota and learned what it was to be an interpretive ranger at Wind Cave National Park. Having learned about public education, natural resource management, and social media management, Alisson continues to explore ways in which best to engage with the public on environmental issues. Alisson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a minor in journalism from Stony Brook University.
