Carla Ayala Crespo

Carla Ayala Crespo recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus. During her undergraduate education, Carla was part of various research projects in fields ranging from plant ecology to limnology. Through her courses, she also gained experience in general and organic chemistry, molecular biology, statistics, GIS, remote sensing, aquatic biomonitoring, invasive species management, and social sciences. In order to continue learning about ecosystems protection and conservation, Carla plans to enroll in a master’s degree program in Wetland Science or Water Resources Management. In her free time, Carla enjoys self-studying in different topics, such as programming. She also enjoys reading, watching films and tv series, playing with cats, and appreciating nature.
